Do I have to resize my images before I upload them?

The simple answer is no.  When you upload a photo to use in a template, you can have us resize the image for you.  The only thing to keep in mind is that the space used by the image you upload will be applied to your disk space, even if we resize the image.  The only template this doesn't apply to is the Photo Gallery -- we resize all the images and delete the originals to save space.

How do I link to another page or website?

You can link to other pages on your site or to other websites a couple of different ways.  Anywhere you are using the editor, you can highlight the text that you want to make into a link and click the anchor icon.  A link screen will appear and you can enter your link in the "URL" field and click "OK".  

If you are linking to a page within your own website you can just use the part after your domain.  So, if your website is www.youmakitamazing.com and you want to link to www.youmakeitamazing.com/Features, you can just type Features into the URL field and select "other" for the Protocol.

You'll also notice that when you upload a photo, there is a place for you enter a link, so if someone clicks on that photo it will send them to that URL.  You can choose whether you want that link to open in a new window or open in the current window the person is using.  This is useful if you are linking to a resource, but want to keep people on your site.

Do I need special software to create my website?

Nope, all you need is an internet browser (like Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari) and a working internet connection.  You can log in to your site and make any changes you need from any computer.

How do I create a page that doesn't appear in the menu?

You create a page that doesn't show up in the main menu, or hide a page that is already created by setting the "Display" field to "No" on the "Edit Page" screen.  To make the page re-appear in the main menu, set the "Display" field to "Yes".

Can I update or change my home page?

You can update the content on your home page in most cases, but you can not add any sections or change the type of templates being used.  The home page is a special page because it was designed specifically for you with its own unique layout.  If you would like to utilize a different template or add a feature to your home page, let us know.

How many people are visiting my site?
